New paintings
I've been life drawing since 17, but college, and work in television and graphics took up my 20s and 30s, so I resigned from a book publishers in 2008 and took a years course at Leith Art School; that experience taught me what I had to learn.
After that I took several years winter time life drawing, under a very good teacher Cynthia Bowles, at Glasgow School of Art. A month at the Arts Students League of New York and lots of reading and going to exhibitions.
Of course I had one ace up my sleeve, my mother, Maisie Murray, an artist of landscapes and still lifes - lyrical in her drawing and such a master of colour.
